Depressingness

My Great-Uncle passed away last week, and his funeral is today. Of course, no one chose to inform me of such until today. So, yeah, today will be fun.
Uncle Ray was 90 years old. I'm very surprised that he's lasted as long as he has. He's been a smoker all his life, and has had many difficulties with it recently. He lost his wife of more than 50 years, my Aunt Ruth, about a year ago. She was one of those take charge kind of women, so we were sure that he wouldn't survive too long with out her. He had been doing better since his son had moved back out here to spend some time, but. When you've spent that long with someone, and when you've reached 90, sometimes it's just time to go.
That doesn't mean that it's any easier for us left behind.

Hugs, please?
